Every institution, whether it admits it or not, makes choices about the kind of people it is built for. Some schools attempt to appeal to everyone. Others pretend to be selective but are not. At Cyrillic College of Homeopathy and Holistic Health Sciences, we have learned that clarity is kinder than ambiguity.
This newsletter is written in that spirit.
Holistic and integrative medicine attracts interest from many directions. Some come with curiosity, others with urgency, some with long years of informal practice, and others simply searching for a new path. All of that is understandable. What is not negotiable, however, is the seriousness required to practise responsibly in this field.
Cyrillic College exists for a specific kind of learner, and it is important to state this plainly.
Who the College Is For
Cyrillic College is for individuals who are prepared to learn with discipline.
Holistic health practice is not instinct alone. It requires study, observation, reasoning, and humility. Our students are expected to read, reflect, ask questions, and participate actively in their training. Passive attendance does not produce competent practitioners.
The College is for those who respect the weight of responsibility that comes with caring for human beings. Whether through naturopathy, homeopathy, herbal medicine, integrative medicine, or allied holistic health sciences, our graduates will one day influence decisions that affect real lives. That reality demands seriousness of character, not just enthusiasm.
We are also for learners who value structure. Clear syllabi, guided instruction, assessments that require understanding, and expectations that are enforced. Holistic medicine is often misunderstood as informal or loose. We take a different view. Freedom in practice must be earned through disciplined learning.
Cyrillic College is for those who are willing to grow. Many of our students come with prior experience, traditional knowledge, or personal healing journeys. These are respected, but they are not beyond examination. Growth requires openness to correction and refinement.
Who the College Is Not For
Cyrillic College is not for those seeking shortcuts.
If the goal is simply to obtain a certificate without developing competence, this is not the right place. Paper qualification without understanding is dangerous, especially in health-related fields.
The College is not for those who view holistic medicine as a quick commercial opportunity. Practice requires patience, ethics, and continued learning. We do not promise instant success or exaggerated outcomes. What we offer is training rooted in responsibility.
We are also not for those unwilling to engage intellectually. Holistic medicine has philosophy, principles, and limits. Students are expected to think, not merely memorise. Those unwilling to examine ideas critically will find the process frustrating.
Finally, Cyrillic College is not for those who resist accountability. Standards are communicated clearly, and they are upheld. This applies to students, faculty, and administration alike.
Why This Clarity Matters
Nigeria, like many countries, is experiencing growing interest in alternative and complementary medicine. This growth brings opportunity, but also risk. Poor training, exaggerated claims, and unethical practice harm patients and undermine the credibility of the entire field.
As an institution, we consider it our responsibility to contribute positively to the professional landscape. That means training practitioners who understand not only what they do, but why they do it, when to act, and when to refer.
This is why our approach remains whole-person focused. Body, mind, emotions, environment, and lived experience are all considered, not as slogans, but as clinical realities. It is also why we insist on structure and ethical grounding.
The Scholarship Window and the Semester Ahead
The new academic semester resumes on February 2nd.
Admissions are currently ongoing across our programs. In addition, the College’s scholarship support program remains open until February 2nd. This support exists to reduce financial barriers for committed learners, not to attract casual interest.
Financial support can assist serious students, but it cannot replace discipline, time, or effort. Those considering applying are encouraged to reflect honestly on their readiness.
A Quiet Invitation
This newsletter is not a challenge. It is an invitation to the right people.
If you are thoughtful, disciplined, and genuinely interested in responsible holistic health practice, Cyrillic College welcomes your consideration. If you are uncertain, take time to read, ask questions, and reflect. Clarity benefits everyone.
Institutions, like individuals, are defined by what they stand for and what they decline. We have chosen clarity, not because it is fashionable, but because it is necessary.
As always, our guiding principle remains unchanged.
Care is inadequate until it is holistic.
